Mental Health Counseling for Children & Adolescents
Navigating OCD and anxiety as a young person can feel incredibly overwhelming. The endless cycle of anxious thoughts can leave your child feeling paralyzed, unable to do the things they love.
Children and teens with OCD and anxiety disorders often experience difficulties engaging in daily activities like attending school, spending time with friends, and participating in extracurricular activities.
As a parent, you work hard to find the best ways to support your child, and want more than anything to help them find relief.
Evidence-based, compassionate care for children and teens facing anxiety, OCD, and related concerns.
Hi. I’m Merritt, and I specialize in working with children and teens navigating OCD, anxiety, and related concerns. My goal is to help every client feel heard, understood, and less alone on their mental health journey.
My passion for this work arose from my own personal experience with OCD, and finding hope through treatment. I know what it feels like to feel trapped by your own mind, and wonder if anyone will ever understand the hurricane of thoughts circling through your head.
Walking into a therapist’s office for the first time as a young person can feel confusing, scary, and overwhelming. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment where everyone can feel safe as their authentic selves. It takes courage to be vulnerable, and there are no thoughts that are too wild, crazy, or scary for this space!
